I'm getting a message: "This W-2 Contains A High Percentage Of Federal Tax Withheld Compared To The Federal Wages." Should I be concerned?
This warning message displays when the amount entered in Box 2 is greater than 20% of the amount in Box 1. Withholding this much tax is unusual, so the message serves as a warning to ensure your entry work is correct.
Double-check the accuracy of the amounts keyed in for Boxes 1 and 2. If you have entered the amounts correctly, the message can be ignored.
