Printing Using a Network and/or Wireless Network Printer

Desktop · Written guide Content date 1 min read

Tax Processors Plus Desktop software supports printing to a network printer as well as printing to a wireless network printer. The printer will have to be added to Windows as with any other printer. In Windows, printers are added in Settings under Printers & Scanners. If you require assistance in setting up a network printer, you will need to contact a local computer or network technician in your area.

After the printer has been set up and is operating on the network, from the Main Menu of Tax Processors Plus Desktop select:

  • Configuration
  • Printer / Copies Setup
  • Printer Setup
  • Type of Tax Printer
Type of Receipt Printer - for each menu line select the printer

Note: If the name of the network printer is not displayed in the list of printers, the printer may have lost its network connection or is connected to a different network than the computer is connected to.

Printing With Multiple Printers

Tax Processors Plus Desktop can be configured to allow you to select the printer you would like to print to each time you print. From the Main Menu of Tax Processors Plus Desktop select:

  • Configuration
  • Printer / Copies Setup
  • Select Printer when Printing - Change to YES

With this option set to YES, you will be prompted to select the printer every time you print something.
