In Tax Processors Plus Online, the Extension Report displays a list of returns that include Form 4868, Application for Automatic Extension of Time to File. A return that includes that form will be in this report whether or not the extension has been electronically filed.
To run the Extension Report in Tax Processors Plus Online, from the Welcome page select:
- Reports
- Federal Transmission Reports
- Extension Report
The extension report displays the last 4 digits of the taxpayer's SSN, the taxpayer's first and last name, the Office name, the preparer's name, the form type (paper or electronic), and the date that the extension was electronically filed. If there is not a transmit date, the extension has not yet been e-filed.
The report can be saved in any of four formats (HTML, PDF, Excel, or CSV) by selecting the option at the bottom of the report.
