How Do I file an Application for Extension of Time to File for Missouri?

Desktop · Written guide Content date 1 min read

A federal extension automatically extends the time to file the Missouri return if the taxpayer does not expect to owe additional tax. Attach a copy of the federal extension to the Missouri return when filed.

File Form MO-60, Application for Extension of Time to File, for an automatic six-month extension if the taxpayer expects to have tax due or needs a Missouri extension but not a federal extension. Include payment by the original due date of the return.

To access the Missouri Form M0-60, from the main menu of the Missouri state return select

  • Missouri Extension of Time to File
  • Enter Extension
