Self-Prepared Business Return: Removing Paid Preparer and Firm Information

In Tax Processors Plus Desktop, if you are going to keypunch an individual tax return for a client who prepared the return themselves for the purposes of e-filing, you will want to mark the return as a self-prepared return.
From the Main Menu of the tax return (Form 1040) select:
- Heading Information
- Preparer Code (remove code)
Return to the main form and from the Tax Menu select:
- Mark Return Electronic
- Other E-File Information
- Preparer also ERO (Change to No)
Marking the return as Self-Prepared and removing the Preparer code will remove all of the Firm Information and Preparer Information from the business return.
