Desktop · Written guide Content date 1 min read

In the partnership tax return (Form 1065), rental activity is passed through directly to the partners on Form 8825, Rental Real Estate Income and Expenses of a Partnership or an S Corporation. Since the profit or loss from rental activity is passed through directly to the partners, this form is found under the Schedule K menu.

To enter rental activity in a partnership return in Tax Processors Plus Desktop, from the Main Menu of the Partnership Tax Return (Form 1065) select:

  • Schedule K - Distributive Share Items
  • Income (Loss)
  • Net Income (Loss) from Rental Real Estate (Form 8825)
  • Enter Rental Property - Click New and enter the property's information.
