Louisiana considers federally taxable military retirement income exempt from Louisiana tax.
To exclude military retirement income from the Louisiana individual tax return in Tax Processors Plus Desktop, from the Louisiana Resident Menu select:
- Income Menu
- Retirement Benefits Exclusion
- Federal Retirement Benefits - Enter the military retirement as a positive number and the retirement date.
