Maine - Amount paid with request for extension

When a taxpayer makes an automatic extension payment to the state of Maine, the payment amount needs to be included on their Maine tax return.
To enter the payment made with the Maine extension on the Maine individual income tax return in Tax Processors Plus Online, from the Federal Section select:
- Payments & Estimates
- State Estimated Payments
- Estimated State Tax Paid after (12/31/20XX) - Enter the amount paid with automatic extension as a positive number and select the state of Maine from the drop down menu.
