Notification Center

In Tax Processors Plus Online, the Notification Center is at the top of the Welcome page when you log in. This window displays notifications from Tax Processors Plus Online. We send you these notifications periodically to provide you with timely information on a variety of subjects such as IRS and state authority notices, common reject codes, Tax Processors Plus Online holiday closures, and e-file deadlines.

Note: Branded Tax Processors Plus Online offices don't see the Notification Center. Only Tax Processors Plus Online offices see it.

Each message in the Notification Center has two controls to either print or dismiss the message:

Select the Print Notification button to open the notification in a new window where it can be printed.

Select the Dismiss Notification button to dismiss, i.e., hide, a notification.

If any notifications have been dismissed, you will see a blue button allowing you to restore them to the list:

Select this button to show dismissed notifications. A dismissed notification that has been restored will show a left-facing arrow instead of the dismissal button:

Select this arrow to restore seeing the notification in the list. (If you don't click it and navigate away from the Welcome Page, the notification will remain dismissed.)

Permission to dismiss notifications

In Roles and Permissions is a permission to be able to dismiss notifications:

• Dismiss Message Center notifications

If unchecked, the preparer will not see the Dismiss Notification button. If checked, they will see the button. If you are using Roles and have assigned them to preparers, you can use this permission to control who can dismiss messages.

Troubleshooting a missing notification

If a notification is missing, it has been dismissed. If you wish to restore missing notifications, click the "Show Dismissed Notifications" button. Each dismissed notification will remain in the list until you navigate away from the page or select its restore button, if you are able to see it.
