IRS Reject Code F8962-063

Desktop · Written guide Content date 1 min read

If you file an individual tax return that includes Form 8962 Part IV with shared policy allocation percentages that are greater than zero, but you failed to enter the amounts from Form 1095-A, the return will reject with code F8962-063:

Reject Code: F8962-063
At least one of the following must have a non-zero value on Form 8962: 'AnnualPremiumAmt' or 'AnnualPremiumSLCSPAmt' or 'AnnualAdvancedPTCAmt' or 'MonthlyPremiumAmt' or 'MonthlyPremiumSLCSPAmt' or 'MonthlyAdvancedPTCAmt'.

To fix this reject, in the Form 8962 menu enter the amounts on Form 1095-A Part II for January through December. The amount to enter for a given month's column will equal the amount on the form multiplied by the shared policy allocation percentage for that month. If a given month is not included in Part IV, then the amount to enter is the amount showing on Form 1095-A.
