What the control does
Tax Preparation Controls are company-level settings in Tax Processors Plus Online. They let the company owner stop an office’s production by preventing new returns and transmission of existing returns.
Open the controls
- Sign in at company level and open the Welcome page.
- Select Company Configuration → Tax Preparation Controls.
Office production is affected
These controls can stop an office from preparing new returns or transmitting existing returns. Confirm the intended office and business decision before changing production controls.
Detailed instructions
Tax Prep Controls (or tax preparation settings) is a tool available at the company level in Tax Processors Plus Online that allows the company owner to shut down a tax office's production. It will prevent the office from creating new returns or transmitting existing returns.
To access the Tax Preparation Controls, from the Company level Welcome page select:
